Wind and shallow water
Lake Neusiedl is on average only about one metre deep, so in many places you can stand in the water, which makes learning easier. According to Burgenland Tourism, kiting is currently allowed almost everywhere on the lake. In strong winds, however, the wind pushes water away and some spots become very shallow.
The lido, the sailing school and a kite area are right next to the apartments.

The best-known spot on the lake, with several kite schools right on the beach. Best with north wind. A 200-metre zone applies in front of the swimming beach, and there is an entrance fee for the beach.
